There is a risk of flooding to industrial properties, commercial properties and infrastructure in the Garthdee area, as well as flooding in and around Riverside Drive.
Heavy rain on Saturday evening and continued snow melt from upper catchments have caused water levels in the Dee and its tributaries to rise. The River Dee in Aberdeen is expected to continue to rise through the early morning with an expected peak in levels around 8am on Sunday. This coincides with the high tide at 8.15. SEPA will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates if the situation changes.

River levels on the Dee have responded to heavy and persistent rain and continue to rise.
River levels at Garthdee are expected to peak between 1430 and 1530. There is a potential flooding to industrial properties, commercial properties and infrastructure in Garthdee.
At Riverside Drive levels will continue to rise until around 1630. Due to a combination of expected high river flows on the Dee coinciding with high tide, there is potential for flooding of areas in and around Riverside Drive adjacent to Bon-Accord Glass. High tide is 1545 on Sunday afternoon and 0345 on Monday morning.

An update to the flood warning has been issued as a precautionary warning regarding potential flooding to industrial properties, commercial properties and infrastructure in Garthdee. SEPA will continue to monitor levels and provide an update if the situation changes.
Due to a combination of expected high river flows on the Dee and high tide, flooding of areas in and around Riverside Drive adjacent to Bon-Accord Glass is expected overnight Saturday into Sunday for potentially an extended period. It is expected that flooding may occur between midnight and extend through until around lunchtime on Sunday. High tide is around 03:15 on Sunday morning and again 15:45 in the afternoon.

The highest river levels on the River Dee in Aberdeen of Wednesday morning have now passed. A further period of the combined high tide and prevailing weather conditions will result in further elevated water levels in the River Dee in and around Riverside drive during Wednesday afternoon. Peak levels are expected to be lower than those experienced on Tuesday afternoon high tide.
High tide is around 1630 but peak levels are expected to be lower than those experienced on Tuesday.
Flooding impacts on lower lying areas in and around Riverside Drive remains a possibility around the time of high tide between 1500 and 1800.
It is suggested by Aberdeen City roads department to avoid parking cars adjacent to low points on Riverside Drive adjacent to Bon Accord Glass.
